Meet Megan Cobb

Megan Cobb is an attorney who is tenacious when it comes to getting results and curious about the reasons why people act the way they do. She is not just a lawyer, but also an actor. Acting taught her a love of seeing and sharing the perspectives of others. She will take your story and make it accessible and understandable to any court, jury, or decision maker in your case. Trademarks, Copyrights, and Intellectual Property Protection

Whether you have a distinct brand or you have created a work of art, your intellectual property is an essential part of your business. Federal or state registration provides notice to the world that you own your intellectual property. Registration can also allow you to collect certain damages if someone uses your intellectual property without your permission. Megan worked with the inaugural USPTO-certified Wake Forest Intellectual Property Law Clinic during her last year of law school. Through the clinic, she analyzed the potential federal registration of several trademarks, submitted federal trademark applications, and advised clients on multiple copyright issues. After passing the bar, Megan served as an Intellectual Property Law Clerk for a Series A startup company and assisted in trademark and copyright research.

Business Law

Small businesses are the backbone of any society. Through her work with the Wake Forest Intellectual Property Law Clinic, Megan assisted multiple small business owners with their business matters. She understands how important your business is to you and she will work to ensure your vision for your business becomes a reality. While in law school, Megan learned about business organizations, growing a business from startup to IPO, unfair competition, and intellectual property protection.

Litigation

In law school, Megan participated in the Kilpatrick Townsend Mock Trial Competition and the Walker and Stanley Moot Court Competitions to prepare herself for the demands and challenges of legal practice and litigation. She has extensive performance and public speaking experience in local and professional theatrical productions ranging from the musical Next to Normal to Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

The Personal Side

Megan grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She enjoys fiber arts, singing, and performing in her spare time. You may have seen Megan perform locally in American Idiot with Actor's Theatre of Charlotte in 2017.
