Meet Bo Caudill

Bo fights to win at every step of every case. His clients stare down governments, agencies, and competitors that stand in the way of their vision. Bo sees that vision from his client’s perspective, and he uses the rules of court and arbitration to tell their story so that others buy in. Through that process, Bo charts a path to make their vision a reality.

Litigation and Arbitration Solutions for You and Your Business

Bo represents clients in cases against the federal, state, and local governments, in regulatory investigations, in fiduciary or professional services disputes, and in contract disputes. His clients have included former executives of multimillion dollar businesses, doctors, lawyers, real estate brokers, medical device suppliers, general contractors, interstate trucking companies, and trustees. He has litigated cases, both trials and appeals, in state and federal courts throughout North Carolina, and he has arbitrated cases under the FAA and the N.C. Revised Uniform Arbitration Act before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS.

Fights With the Government

As a business or property owner, you have rights. Protecting those rights means holding our state, local, and federal governments accountable to the law. Bo stands side by side with businesses, business owners, and licensed professionals as they navigate government agency investigations, push back on government overreach, and protect their right to do business and earn a living, including in whistleblower litigation under the False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute, in eminent domain and inverse condemnation cases, in zoning disputes, and in related investigations.

Licensing Authority Investigations and Disciplinary Proceedings

Licensed professionals, including doctors, lawyers, accountants, contractors, real estate agents, and others abide by a complex set of rules and regulations enforced by government agencies and licensing authorities with the power to discipline them, including by stripping them of their license and, relatedly, their livelihood. Bo stands between those authorities and his clients and helps guide his clients through those investigations and any related disciplinary proceedings, holding those authorities accountable to their own rules and preserving as much as possible his client’s right to practice their trade and earn their living.

Fiduciary Litigation

Bo defends and prosecutes claims against individuals who are responsible for acting in the best interests of other persons or companies, including directors, officers, managers, trustees, lawyers, accountants, and others.

Contract and Internal Business Disputes

A contract is a promise to perform, and in business, those promises matter. Bo holds his client’s partners, managers, executives, directors, employees, and vendors (including service providers, insurance companies, and materials suppliers) accountable to their promises and, when those promises are broken, acts swiftly and assertively to mitigate and recover for any loss his client or his client’s business suffers as a result.

Unfair Competition

You have worked hard to build your business, but your competitors would prefer to take shortcuts. Sometimes, those shortcuts include stealing your intellectual property or your employees. Other times, those shortcuts include sharing false and defamatory information about you or your business. Bo can protect your hard work by forcing your competitors to play by the rules under state and federal unfair competition and commercial information laws.

Real Property Disputes

The right to use and enjoy real property is one of the most important rights we enjoy, and when the government, your neighbor, or anyone else infringes on that right, it is important that you act swiftly to stop the infringement and receive just compensation. Bo can help you do both. Bo protects his clients’ property rights in boundary and title disputes, government takings cases, nuisance actions, and others.

The Personal Side

Bo lives in Charlotte with his wife, Chelsea, his son, Peter, and his dog, Penelope. He spends his free time watching Hornets games, enjoying Chelsea soccer matches, and listening to true crime podcasts.
